Got back from holiday on Saturday; some toe-rag broke into the car whilst we were away. They left a very discreet hole by the lock in the door that’ll cost about £150–£200 to put-right. They didn’t pinch anything, my old CD-Walkman evidently wasn’t considered worthy booty (a couple of years ago I locked my bicycle up and went shopping; someone stole the lock and left the bike). On the bright side, at least the car is still there.

That sucks - I’m sorry that your car got ‘done’. We live in a relatively rough bit of Bath and we had our wing mirror knocked off, which cost £75 to fix.
Admittedly it’s the only trouble we’ve had…apart from our green recycling tub going missing.

Yeah, that sucks! We regularly see dangling wing mirrors on Saturday and Sunday Mornings (we’ve had three knocked off in the last 5 years). The neighbourhood isn’t too bad, we just happen to live on a major artery for drunken idiots stumbling back to their homes.
