PayPal Scam Spam

Resized screen-capture of an email message.

Clearing out my spam folder, I came accross this very PayPally looking spam. Nasty. Needless to say the details don’t get sent to PayPal.

  1. I had one of these. I managed to trace it all the way to a ISP in china. Did the usual of informing the abuse@isp.com stuff, No replay as yet.

I know some poor suckers fell for it.

    Nice site by the way.

  2. PayPal Security Verification Hoax

Dear Paypal, dear Domain-Admins, dear Domain-owner, Today I received the attached hoax mail from a site pretending to be PayPal and the need to re-verify (re-enter) all my PayPal data including credit-card and SSN info. This was a criminal attempt…

  3. It’s too bad but a lot of folks out there that don’t know the simple, rule to prevent falling for phishing scams…. Don’t click on a link in any email. If you think it’s really from PayPal, eBay etc., go directly to the site by typing in the url and check for announcements.

  4. How do you make these emails stop? I get 2 a day on average.
