It seems support for the animated <marquee> tag has been added to
Mozilla. Apparently it displays in standards mode (as does <blink>). In Peering inside the marquee Matthew Thomas adds a few choice words as to why this implementation is a
Bad Thing.
The
<marquee>change is almost unique in that its effects are entirely negative — it makes Mozilla (trivially) worse in several respects, and better in none.
